Child Support Unfair Practices by DSS

My childrens mother and i have 2 children. The first was born in 1991 and has lived with my mother and i since she was nine months old.

The other child was born when this one was 13 months old and lived with her mother. For approx 5-6 yrs we supported the child we had and they supported the other.

Then for some reason she lost custody of the child to her mother. Her mother then went after me for support and i was ordered to pay 233. a month plus over 10,000 in back support. Back support which was not even due her as she did not have custody of the child.no back support should be due the mother as i was supporting one child and she the other.

My mother had custody of the other child and it took almost a year for them to get her in court to pay/ of course no back support was ordered there. i was coerced and threatened to sign a paper that i would pay this back support.

I wanted to explain the previous info but they did everything they could o keep me out of the court room. During this time i have paid 21 dollars a month on these arrears and that child returned to live with her mother and has just graduated from high school and my support payments are over.

I have been unemployed for some time and have tried to have my payments reduced but they have refused. Now without any notice or a hearing their lawyer has filed a petition and had signed by a judge that i pay 240 a month on these arrears in the case of the grandmother for which i should never have been paying in the first place.

In the meantime i have a child here whose mother was ordered to pay me 200 a month/ ahe went back to court and told them she was unemployed and immediately it was lowered to 80 dollars. She came and took child but he was ordered back here by a judge.

Now he has been back 9 months and their status is attempt to locate although they have been made aware that she has had several court dates right here in town and dss has had ongoing cases with her during this time. Now we have an appt with a lawyer after many years of trying to straighten this out and them refusing to listen.
