Eye Laser Malpractice

My father was admitted in reputed hospital in 1999 for eye vision problem in one eye.

Due to one practice student mistake,the eye nerves were burned in the reason of very high laser power.that student noted this problem in the patient case file.

Just now we seen the details.From the day my father vision was totally apset and there after he got the blind man card from the Govt.

What shall we do right now? Is there any chance of getting legal claim from the hospital ?

It sounds like there may surely be a liability on the part of the hospital and/or physician, but it depends on what your father signed in the way of waivers prior to the surgery.

Did this occur in the United States or in India?
